On 30 November the Thames Foyer at The Savoy will host an evening of smooth jazz and soul, featuring an exclusive performance by Jalen N’Gonda. Jalen is the recent winner of the Fairmont European Tour Award, and the Montreux Jazz Talent Award, both presented at the Montreux Jazz Festival earlier this year. He is embarking on a four stop city tour, gracing four iconic hotels; The Savoy, Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I in Barcelona, Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Hamburg, and of course, ending his tour by performing at Fairmont Le Montreux Palace in Switzerland. He will bring the hotels a unique guest experience, featuring special performances at all properties.
From being raised in the United States to studying jazz piano in Liverpool, Jalen joins us at The Savoy to give guests a one-of-a-kind evening in the heart of The Savoy.
For many years, Fairmont has had a long standing partnership with the Montreux Jazz Festival. It is through initiatives like this that we get to learn about new voices and emerging talent, which have the opportunity to be brought to the world stage.
Having Jalen perform at The Savoy is an incredible addition to the Thames Foyer’s evening entertainment programme, which has become a staple to the venue and a big draw for both in house guests and our fellow Londoners.
